JAY JAY CEE SET TO DROP PAMODZI ALBUM

                           

         

           Jay Jay Cee: Pamodzi Album is Ready

The Malawian musician, Juma James Chitsonga, popularly known by the name Jay Jay Cee who does Afro-Dancehall, is set to launch his new album titled Pamodzi on 7th October 2023 at Robins Park in Blantyre.

According to the Afro-Dancehall artist, the album is a reflection of his music journey and his vision of promoting unity and love among people.

The artist says the album has been named Pamodzi because he believed music can bring people together and inspire positive change in the world. 

“I believe that music can unite people and create harmony in society, that is why I named my album pamodzi as I want to spread the message of love, peace and unity through my music “, the artist said. 

The album launch event will be a spectacular show that will feature live performancies by Jay Jay Cee, Sangie, Ril B, Driemo, and Wikise, among other artists. There will be also fashion show, comedies and DJ sessions.

He Urged his fans to support him by buying tickets to attend the show. Jay Jay Cee also thanked his fans for their support and love over the years.

INCREASE IN IRREGULAR MIGRATION AND TRAFFICKING IN PERSON

 Mzimba is one of the Districts with high population of people emigrating to seek jobs. 

According to Inkosi Yamakhosi M'mbelwa (V), most of the people that migrate to other countries are women and the youths aged between 15 and 25, being desperate to go to other countries they end up using uncharted routes and without legal documents. 

"Most of the youth migrate to other countries more especially to south Africa without proper documents where they end up being abused in the way by the transporters and they also face hardship as they live in fear," said M'mbelwa.

Another member, Mr Moses Mkandawire shared concerns in issues of human trafficking were recent cases of women found desperate in Zambia and Dubai in jobs they were not promised.

"Most women end up being abused because they are trapped in situation which they cannot run away after being promised attractive money and job," he said.

A 2017 Malawi News agency article quoted data from M'mbelwa District council indicating that atleast 25 people in a day seek travel documents from the council to leave the country.

NO MORE BLACK OUTS AT MUBAS CHICHIRI CAMPUS

           Genset at Chichiri campus.


The Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) has solved the problem of black outs at Chichiri campus that was affecting the learning process.

This development has come to eliminate the problems that the students were facing on some modules requiring electricity.

According to the Bachelor of Arts in Journalism student year 2, Olive Chamangwana, last semester the classes of Radio Production were being dismissed due to lack of electricity, but for now classes of Television Production are going on smoothly due to the coming in of the Generator and we are able to do our Editing practices through the use of the Projector with our lecturer.

The Institution has bought the new Generator to replace the faulty Generator they partnered with EGENCO.
